Amanda Rusing joined Dorn Policy Group in November of 2012 as the Government Relations Associate.
Amanda began her career in Arizona government as an intern with Governor Jan Brewer’s Office of Equal Opportunity (G.O.E.O). In this position, she was responsible for creating a digital and in-office database for evaluating and managing case files in accordance with records retention statutes.
She then began an internship with the Arizona Department of Administration’s Human Resources Office in the Communications Department where she introduced the Department’s first social media campaign.
In December of 2010 she joined Legislative Staff of the State Senate. While working under the Appropriations Chairman, she was responsible for monitoring legislation, managing constituent needs, and coordinating with legislative and executive staff, agencies, and interest groups.
Originally from Indiana, Amanda earned her Bachelor’s at the University of Arizona studying Political Science. In May of 2012 she completed a Master’s in Public Administration from Arizona State University.
